West Linn, a city of approx 26,000 people, borders the Willamette River on the west side. A city rich with natural beauty, West Linn is known as the city of “hills, trees and rivers.” West Linn can be reached by using either Hwy 43 or I-205.
Shopping and Dining
If you are looking for shopping in and around West Linn, you will find that most of the businesses and restaurants can be found along Hwy 43, also known as Willamette Dr. and 7th Ave. / Willamette Falls Dr.
Parks and Recreation
Besides the Willamette River, and community parks, when visiting West Linn, you should stop and see the McLean House and Park, owned by the City of West Linn, is a historic home built by Dr. Edward McLean in 1927.
The Willamette Falls Locks, opened in 1873, are the oldest continuously operating multiple-life locks in the United States. The locks were listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
Schools, Health, Transportation
Along with the four Elementary Schools, Middle School and West Linn High School, it is also home to Marylhurst University. Marylhurst University is a Catholic university that was founded in 1893. Today it provides quality and innovative educational experiences for individuals of many religious beliefs and backgrounds.
