The Willamette Falls Locks, opened in 1873, are the oldest continuously operating multiple-life locks in the United States. The locks were listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
Schools - Along with the four Elementary Schools, Middle School and West Linn High School, it is also home to Marylhurst University. Marylhurst University is a Catholic university that was founded in 1893. Today it provides quality and innovative educational experiences for individuals of many religious beliefs and backgrounds.
