Hillsboro, Oregon real estate has been in demand! Incorporated in 1876, Hillsboro has doubled in size over the last 15 years. Hillsboro is a self-described “Uptown Hometown” for 89,000 residents in western Washington County. Only a short 12 mile drive down Sunset Highway from downtown Portland, Hillsboro is home to a number of high tech firms, including Intel, and is considered part of the Silicon Forest. As the county seat, Hillsboro is home to the Washington County Courthouse and the Washington County Fair Complex. 

South Hillsboro will continue to see significant growth over the next 15-20 years. A 1,400-acre housing development, the largest planned community in the region, will consist of more than 8,000 homes - of all types of housing - for 20,000 new residents to live.

Shopping and Dining

Hillsboro’s area farmers offer fresh produce each Saturday from May to October at the Hillsboro Farmers Market. The festivities continue June through August during the Hillsboro Tuesday market Place, where visitors can experience live entertainment, fresh food, arts and crafts, and more. Various wine tours are also available at many of Hillsboro’s award-winning vineyards.

Parks and Recreation

Hillsboro offers visitors and residents a year-round destination for fun. Grabbing a beer in the stands of a Hillsboro Hops MLS baseball game, or watching airplanes majestically zip between each other against a blue sky backdrop at the Oregon International Air Show means summer has arrived!

Hillsboro Parks and Recreation maintains over 20 beautiful parks throughout the city as well as Hillsboro Stadium, a 7,000 seat multi-sport event center owned by the city.
